Thank you and hope you all have a great day as well! I finally have plans! We're going to my brother's house tomorrow, for just a small dinner. I'm most looking forward to football though!

I didn't know that you hadn't had plans before. Just so you know, I'm cooking a 23 lb turkey and am only having my daughters and their kids over. SO...if you decide to house hop, you are more than welcome to come to my place too! I too love to watch football all day on Thanksgiving even though I don't know who's doing what. haha

Gotta tell a story, one year, many moons ago, I took the task of cooking the family turkey. I was so excited and bought a "ready to cook" turkey, thawed it and put it in the oven. I was on the phone with my dad, letting him know it will come out awesome and I was so excited, he asked if I took out all the neck etc...I told him "dad, it is a ready to cook one, just put in the oven" oh no...he was insisting that there is still the bag of giblets in the bird etc. it had already been in the oven for about an hour, well, since dad knows best, I pulled that bird out and low and behold there WAS a neck and back of crap in there...ewww Yep, never did that again, and now one heck of a cook I saw this happen to a person on America's Funniest Home Videos, nice to know I am not the only one who has ever done this. HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!

One year many moons ago a friend of mine cooked her first turkey and SKINNED it first because she doesn't like the skin! Hahaha What a catastrophy! She said it fell apart like there was no tomorrow. Sure wish I could've seen it.

Brwaahaha, I suddenly feel much better!
One year, many moons ago, my brother decided he is gonna deep fry a turkey in the desert (can you smell disaster already?)
Never could get the oil hot enough, and to start with he used a stupid "pressed turkey breast"!! Yep, that's my bro. Soooo, he puts the turkey on the counter in his RV, we turn to do other stuff, then turn back to the breast and it looked really wierd and we just couldnt figure it out...we thought, hmmmm did the oil take off part of it? break off ...what the heck happened.
Upon further inspection, the dog had taken some nice chunks out of it when we weren't looking! Probably for the good, cuz it just was not cooked all the way through anyway. Luckily we had cooked other turkeys and had a ham. Moral of the story: deep fry actually turkeys!! Not processed, and keep the dog away from the food.

Yay! Today is here! Happy Thanksgiving to you ALL! Even though I don't hang around too much or make it to all the meet ups, I know I have a friend in you all, even a few of y'all I haven't met!
Of course, I'm thankful for many things - family, friends, health, hockey, country music and my dog.
Annddd, on that note, I'm pretty stoked I just have to show up to my aunts. I'm in charge of beer! Have I purchased that beer yet? Nope! A little bummed that means no leftovers, but it's for the best!
